The Post Critical Incident Seminar (PCIS) is a three-day, peer-supported seminar designed to help first responders, tele-communicators, and active or veteran military personnel recover from traumatic, life-altering incidents experienced in the line of duty. Delivered by LEMIT, the program’s central goal is to transform vulnerability into strength through proven trauma recovery strategies and peer connection. Participants engage with mental health professionals experienced in working with law enforcement and military personnel, gaining insight into trauma, patterns of resolution, and field-tested coping techniques. The seminar provides a supportive environment where attendees can share experiences, give and receive peer support, and learn evidence-based recovery methods, including the Eye Movement Desensitization and Processing (EMDR) technique. By fostering understanding and resilience, PCIS empowers participants to recover from past critical incidents and strengthen their ability to cope with future challenges—helping them reclaim balance, confidence, and well-being both professionally and personally.
