Property and Evidence Management

This course is designed to help participants understand the importance of organizational skills, proper documentation, audits and inventories, dispositions, the standards recognized in this field, purging, and where to find state laws pertaining to the management of a property and evidence room. Participants will also learn the importance of proper packaging and will be instructed on items that must be destroyed in accordance with specific guidelines.

Who Should Attend / Admission Requirements

  • This course is intended for property and evidence technicians, managers, Chiefs, and Sheriffs.

Course Hours

Participants receive 8 hours of TCOLE credit.

Course Cost / Fee Policy

Property and Evidence Management is$150 per person for Texas Law Enforcement Officers.

Cancellation / No-Show Policy

If the participant has already paid, he/she will be refunded half the cost of the registration fee if written notice of cancellation is received by the Program Coordinator no later than seven (7) business days prior to the program. No refunds are available after this date, but substitutions of attendees are permitted.

If no written cancellation is received and the participant does not attend the program, the participant or their agency will be required to pay 100% of the registration fee if the registration fee was not previously paid.
